Youngest Editor of a Published Anthology (male)
Guinness World Records — 13 February 2026
Officially confirmed by Guinness World Records. Jayce achieved the title at age 7 editing Our Stories, Our World, a child-led anthology of children's writing.
Jayce Joyce BCyA is an 8-year-old Mensa member, author, and literacy advocate from Birmingham, UK. The world's youngest author to publish a book series simultaneously. BBC Blue Peter Gold Badge recipient. British Citizen Youth Award holder — the young person's equivalent of an MBE. Over 10,000 children across the UK and beyond have been reached by his books, workshops, and storytelling sessions.
"I want everyone to read what I write and to use their imagination and write their own stories too."— Jayce Joyce, age 3
About Jayce
At 15 months, Jayce couldn't yet form full sentences — but he could grip a pencil like an adult and spend hours poring over picture books. By age 3, he was writing entire scripts of his family's days out and sticking them to walls, doors, and telephone poles — because he wanted the whole neighbourhood to read what he wrote.
At age 4, on World Book Day 2023, he published two books simultaneously and made history. At 8, he has read over 2,000 books, reached over 10,000 children across the UK and beyond, and published the UK's first nationwide child-led anthology.
