Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 2026 · Jayce's World Ltd · Co. No. 16140605

Jayce’s World is committed to making this website accessible to everyone. We believe every child — and every adult — should be able to access stories, education, and inspiration without barriers.

Our target

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This is a recognised international standard for web accessibility and is the level required by many schools and public sector organisations for procurement approval.

What we have done

  • All images include descriptive alt text
  • Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG AA minimums across all text
  • The website is navigable by keyboard without a mouse
  • Focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements
  • All forms include visible labels
  • The site is responsive and works on screen sizes from 375px upward
  • ARIA roles and landmarks are used throughout to support screen reader navigation
  • No content flashes more than three times per second
  • The digital flipbook viewer includes a security overlay when focus is lost — this is intentional and can be dismissed by clicking the return button

Known limitations

  • Some older PDF downloads (educator guides) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We are working to remediate these.
  • Embedded video content (BBC News, ITV clips on the Media page) is hosted on third-party platforms. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of embedded players.
  • The interactive flipbook viewer renders pages as canvas elements. The text content of the book is not currently available to screen readers. A text-only version can be requested by emailing us.

If you need a text version of any page or document on this site, or if you experience any accessibility barrier, please contact us at enquiries@jaycesworld.co.uk or call +44 7400 681118. We will respond within 5 working days.
