1. Who we are

Jayce’s World Ltd (“Jayce’s World”, “we”, “us”) operates the website jaycesworld.co.uk and associated services. Registered in England and Wales, Company No. 16140605. Our data controller contact is enquiries@jaycesworld.co.uk.

2. What data we collect and why

Shop purchases

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, delivery address, and payment details. Payment details are processed securely by Stripe or PayPal — we do not store card numbers. We use this data to fulfil your order and send order confirmation and delivery updates.

Newsletter sign-up

If you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address and interest category. We use this to send you news about Jayce’s books, events, and the writing competition. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any email.

School visit and enquiry forms

When you submit an enquiry form we collect your name, organisation, email address, phone number, and the details of your request. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where you book a visit, to arrange the event.

Writing competition entries

Competition entries submitted to info@jaycesworldoflearning.co.uk include a child’s name, age, school, and their written entry. We require parental or guardian consent for every entry. Entry data is used only to administer the competition and, for winners, to publish the anthology. Entries are not shared with third parties.

Digital flipbook access

When you purchase a digital flipbook, your name and email address are embedded as a visible watermark on every page of your copy. This is to prevent unauthorised sharing and is part of the licence terms you agree to at purchase. Your reading link is unique to you and should not be shared.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies required to operate the website (session, cart, security). We may use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site. Non-essential cookies are only placed with your consent via our cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

3. Children’s data (GDPR-K / COPPA)

This website is operated by and on behalf of a child author. Some services — particularly the writing competition — involve collecting data about children under 13. We never collect children’s data without explicit verifiable parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal data about a child without consent, please contact us immediately at enquiries@jaycesworld.co.uk and we will delete it promptly.

Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any data relating to their child by emailing enquiries@jaycesworld.co.uk.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, object to processing, and request restriction.
