The World Literacy Summit is one of the most significant gatherings of literacy leaders, educators, researchers, and advocates in the world. In 2025, it was held at the University of Oxford. Jayce Joyce BCyA was its youngest finalist.

The summit brings together professionals dedicated to advancing literacy globally — people who have spent careers in education, policy, publishing, and community work. To be among them at age 7 speaks to the scale of what Jayce has already built: published books, a nationwide writing competition, international charity work, and a registered Community Interest Company.

His appearance at Oxford in 2025 sits alongside the BCyA Medal of Honour at the House of Lords, the Potential Unlocked Young Author of the Year award, and what would become, by December 2025, the BBC Blue Peter Gold Badge — as part of the most consequential year of Jayce’s literary journey so far.
