Jayce's Story
A chronological record of how Jayce Joyce BCyA went from gripping a pencil at 15 months old to publishing the UK's first nationwide child-led anthology by age 7.
At 15 months old, Jayce Joyce couldn't yet walk steadily — but he could hold a pencil with a grip more precise than most 5-year-olds. By age 3, he was writing scripts of everything he'd seen or heard and sticking them to walls, doors, and telephone poles. "I want everyone in my neighbourhood to read what I write," he told his mother. When the rain washed his stories away, he would cry — then write new ones.
